  2. Peel off one of the white foam spacers

  3. Before you do this step, look at the blue cards - one end has a picture of a light bulb.  This light bulb should end up being behind the circular cutouts shown on the picture here!

    • The adhesive on this spacer is VERY sticky and hard to remove if you get this step wrong - make sure you have it centred and the right way around (see above) before you stick it on!

    • Carefully attach the foam spacer on the WHITE side of the card, making sure there is an even border around the outside and that the spacer is positioned exactly in the centre

  4. Carefully peel back the backing paper from the top of the foam spacer and discard

  5. Insert the coin cell into the hole.  The bottom of the battery should be marked '+' - this should go face down

  6. Place the small foam spacer as shown - there should be a little 'hinge' holding the inner disc - it should be at the top as shown.

  7. The LED has two leads - if you've put the battery in the right way (+ on bottom), the LED's LONGER lead should also be on the bottom in the next step

    • You'll need to gently pull apart the legs of the LED just a little to insert them properly in the next step

    • Whilst holding the inner circular flap up, insert the LED as shown. It should go all the way in so the clear plastic head sits inside the little rectangular cutout of the foam.

  8. Let the flap go back over the top of the LED's lead as shown.

    • Gently press down in the centre of the circle - if you've done everything right the LED should glow and when you let go it should turn off.

    • Do not proceed unless this is working - once you've fully assembled the card, it's very hard to fix!

  9. Carefully place the top card on as shown so it is exactly over the bottom card, and so that the light bulb icon is over the coin cell.

    • When you press on the bulb icon, your LED should turn on!
